Swami Prajnanananda Saraswati

Swami Prajnanananda currently teaches Vedanta, yoga sutras and conducts workshops on "Values to Excel" at Chennai. Swamiji had been conducting short term Vedanta courses in Swami Chidbhavananda ashram, Theni for few years and then left for the Himalyas and lived on the banks of Ganga in quietude.

Swamiji had been studying Vedanta with Pujya Swami Paramarthanandaji for more than two decades. He had also been attending classes of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswatiji regularly. Swamiji in his purva ashrama had a distinguished career in the corporate world, having been in the top management of a leading IT major in India, Japan and China. He is also a linguist proficient in various languages including Japanese and Russian.

With his universal experience of studying and working in various countries with a philosophical incline and keen interest in the welfare of humanity, Swamiji combines Vedanta and practical life, in his lectures and writing. He loves to work with youth and children and takes personalised care for their values, moral life and spiritual growth.

His intense search for an answer to the question, ”What is the purpose of my life?” led him to Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati, in the 80s, and subsequently to Swami Paramarthananda. His exposure to dialectical materialism and other philosophies during his stay in Moscow in his young days gave him a unique opportunity to analyse various perspectives of Advaida Siddhanta relevant to contemporary times. This laid a strong foundation to lead a spiritual life himself and more importantly inculcate spiritual values to the next generation.
